kilo Promos Green Hell Records processed to texts ...

Grimes - Halfaxa

The flood of releases gloomy style is endless. And in this case, it is worthwhile to listen again more closely. The young lady behind a layer of Grimes House on Euro-Techno, rounded off with the 80's synths and all kinds of noises are hinzuvt: thoroughly spooky, this sound - a concept that is currently rising, and with which it stands not alone, but part an emerging genre is. Highlight is the song of the weirder newcomer, the most striking feature is on Halfaxa. High and dreamy, alienated and more noise as a narrative, this angelic voice. The texts remain inaccessible to the listener, but he does, what depths of melancholy to be told. That sounds like a rehash of everything together Julee Cruise, that spirit voice, which started in the 80 years, two fabulous soundtrack albums with David Lynch, including a sung version of the opener of today, more than popular series Twin Peaks. And just like the confused inhabitants of this small town, where you watch so much, Grimes is confusion and distraction at the same time! Definitely worth listening to!

Akron / Family - S / T II: The Cosmic Birth And Journey of TNT Shinju

Until one has written the complete title of this record, some time goes by. Much more quickly creates the excitement that one develops in hearing. Multi-layered experimental rock music, which includes as a fire like the big city, a bastard of the 21 Century. The band has long sat down, cut off from the outside world and in Japan on the edge of a volcano around with, this field recordings are just their way to be released on CD and double-LP masterpiece, as converted electric drums from the 70 years that dealt with self-carved drumsticks were. Particularly stands out in this extraordinary work, in addition to mature kaleidoscopic pop songs that have somehow also the innovation of the avant-garde history in itself, shows the beautiful production: in an old station conserved in Detroit these brave sound laboratory staff with Chris Koltay, who is also among the highlights of No Age, Deerhunter, or Liars fingers in the game had their experiments. And in this league matches, the band is in the concrete comparison most likely near Deerhunter! 110 percent recommendation, serious

Colin Stetson - New History Warfare Vol 2: Judges

Colin Stetson played a horn that classified sometimes directly, sometimes the noise of the other elements that make up his unusual and probably unique sound, for a disconcerting yet pleasant feeling makes. This can be very clear in the corner of Arthur Russell and his Millennium Drive World Of Echo lane, except that this is not a willful act cello tape recorded, but as I said to a horn. But who can hypnotize yourself from Arthur Russell's introverted designs from the 80s and early 90s, or just fancy something completely different, has developed perhaps interest in the sound of misuse or unconditional explore this in any case rarely heard instrument will find a perfect substitute for the exceptional cellist who died too soon: Colin Stetson is avant-garde in the 21 Century, music from the future, the jazzy Art Klangkollage Certainly not something for everyone, but for the sound explorers, the audio freak, head Cinema Junkie perhaps THE board on which he has been waiting for years. 14 tracks, after their intensive use of the world out there, something looks different, sometimes with spoken samples of a woman's voice, sometimes in the form of remixes, often with the help of guest vocalists or other instruments, but always one thing: impressive ...

This Is Head - 0001

hard thin Steel strings which produce melodies, which emulate the pop-designs of the 80s, a monotonous straight drums, very minimal, to occasional synthesized sounds, which are condensed in the course of the plate more and more. This goes in the direction of bands like Explosions In The Sky, and you can imagine to be just like the musicians behind This Is Head in the rehearsal room or on the stage like crazy staring at her feet. From Track 2 then vocals, dreamy, beautiful, relaxing, slow look, so here four young men high on their feet. What were they thinking while the gentlemen from Sweden to name their song titles in principle with four-digit numbers that begin with two more zeros reveals itself to me is not. But ostensibly it's all about the sound: If you like the song so of MGMT, on the guitars of The Smiths and stands at the experimentation of Radiohead takes pleasure is in this band more than right

Papercuts - Fading bring Parade

Papercuts their fourth album out on Sub Pop, probably one of the best label this time, the label can often be read as a promise to get quality delivered. Even in the case of the composite composed of many instruments of the Papercuts album, the beginning of March appears on CD and vinyl, Sub Pop have again done a stroke of luck: dreamy pop, with plenty of reverb and therefore deep rooms, unobtrusive melancholy and very varied! Should all those who have the best lists and reader polls of 2010, decided in the category for best album of Helicon Digest Deerhunter be crowned, in 2011, a young pretender to the throne, which could well Papercuts with fading parade. Ten tracks, directed by band mastermind Jason Robert Queve, it deserves the band themselves to be got signed to Sub Pop.

Asobi Seksu - Fluorescence

Great artwork, folded almost as complicated as an origami. And Japanese influences can be found in abundance in addition to the folding technique, on this beautiful new recording of the New York band with the catchy name Asobi Seksu. This year, Yuki Chikudate, singer and keyboardist from Asobi Seksu, James Hanna celebrate, guitarist, bassist Billy Pavone and the drummer Larry Gorman its tenth anniversary, which is also reflected in the maturity of their songs. Opulent featured pop that would fit perfectly into a film by director Sofia Copolla, the direction of Lost in Translation and Somewhere. And so, the four also compared to the untimely Phoenix, but are almost dreamy other hand, in turn also much louder, the fragility of Fluorescence is not unusual a shoegaze wall of sound. Who the later stages of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, bands like Metric, may come too so all of New York, and it is quite willing to engage in vocal tension curves in the vicinity of Yoko Ono, as well as the Drive abfeiert of Parts & Labor, just as the melancholy of The Cure, the fluorescence should listen to even know! Conclusion: Fat-produced pop with a penchant for grand gestures, the masses and konsenzfähig what is not meant as a devaluation - on the contrary! If in addition to the familiar formats as a double LP on 180 gram with Gatefoldcover!
